North End Community Renewal Corporation

The North End Community Renewal Corporation (NECRC) is committed to the social, economic and cultural renewal of the North End of Winnipeg. NECRC defines its development goals through annual consultations and ongoing networking with North End residents and businesses.

North End Business Development Centre

The North End Business Development Centre (NEDC) located at 607 Selkirk Avenue is intended to be a single window resource centre for budding entrepreneurs from our community, existing businesses and those that are looking to establish a business in the North End.

St. Johns Residents’ Association

The St. Johns Residents’ Association is working in the neighbourhood to improve community safety, address housing issues, develop wellness and recreation services, create economic development opportunities and to build neighbourhood capacity.

William Whyte Neighbourhood Association

The William Whyte Neighbourhood Association (WWNA) provides programming for adults and children. Activities include the following; community cleanups, volunteer patrols (Citizens on Patrol Program), speed watch, community gardening initiatives, 50+ club, winter skating program, New Immigrant Settlement Program, and informational sessions to members of the WWNA community.

The Point Douglas Residents Committee

The Point Douglas Residents Committee (PDRC) is works towards creating a safe and welcoming neighbourhood by hosting various community events and initiating several neighbourhood beautification and street cleaning efforts. In addition, their Housing Committee has deveoped a 5-year Housing Plan to help improve Point Douglas’ housing stock.
